Michael Schindler uses tintype or stainless ferrotype plates to capture these images. There is only one copy of the image which is what Michael loves about the process.
I love the detail, the colours and the contrast that this method delivers. It's old school gone new. Michael says that back in the day, photos were taken from a distance so you would see most of the body. His are taken up close - with great effect!
